Carol Jenkins - Principal
B.Ed.(Hons) / NNEB / BTDA Reg Teacher / Accredited Master Cheerleading Coach NCSSE / BTS BodyJam Instructor

Carol has now been teaching for 25 years. On leaving University she worked in primary education for six years before deciding to leave and open CJ’s.

During her years she has accumulated a vast array of knowledge in the teaching field including dance forms from Ballet to Ballroom and Cabaret to Street. She continually updates her expertise by attending courses and workshops in dance, cheerleading nutrition, first aid and core stability.

She has provided the opportunity for many pupils to dance in prestigious venues in London and abroad, via the Mardi Gras Team and thus give them an insight into the professional dance world. The experiences proving invaluable as, a high percentage of CJ’s senior pupils now go on to pursue dance when leaving secondary education.

With many years of experience behind her Carol is now committed to helping train the teachers of tomorrow both within the school and in state education. As a teacher Carol’s philosophy is that you never stop learning yourself, every pupil is different and so is every lesson, new trends and ideas are forever emerging and it is every teacher’s responsibility to embrace the forever changing world of the Performing Arts.
