Junior Mardi Gras Challenge

Twenty dancers from CJs will be travelling to the prestigious Sadlers Wells Theatre in London to compete against dance troupes from all over the UK in The Mardi Gras Challenge.

The girls range in age from eight to twelve years old and are dancing a lively routine which incorporates jazz, tap and acrobatic moves based on the musical Hairspray. They have been rehearsing for many months to perfect the routine which will be judged by a team, including Bonnie Langford and directors from Disneyland.

Sarah McLoughlin has been responsible for choreographing the routine, which she hopes will bring success for the girls and wishes them all the best for the competition.

Principal Carol said, "We have previously entered this competition and know the standard is extremely high, twice the senior girls have come third in the Senior Challenge but this year it's the time for the juniors to shine. Everyone from CJ's certainly wishes them all the best and once again will show just how talented kids are from the Dover area."
